web design process

I will work with you to make sure that we are creating a long lasting online solution for your business.

Discovery

In our initial meeting, we will discuss your project requirements, goals, target audience, competitors, color schemes, and project specifications. To ensure that your website is most effective, I check on what key phrases or keywords your target market is searching to find you, and what keywords/phrases your competitors are taking advantage of to build their market. I explain best practices for website optimization and search engine optimization so that you can have a site that will get found and can receive a better ROI.

Collection of Assets

When the website package has been agreed upon and the contract as been signed, I will ask for you to send me your logo, pictures, content, or whatever materials we have discussed for me to begin production of the website.

Research and Brainstorming

Based on what we discussed in our initial meeting, I will begin doing research to find what design trends are going on in your field of work and incorporate ways for you to stand out from all the other businesses with your online presence.

Design

Once we have completed the discovery stage and I have taken a look at best practices for your market/field, I will create a custom design that meets project requirements and industry standards. Every part of my design will be with Search Engine Optimization, the User (visitor), and future updates in mind. I am constantly keeping up to date with design trends to ensure that I can give the best design for your money.

Review

Once the design is completed, I will send you a screen shot of my completed design to approve. There is a purpose for everything in my designs, so if you request changes, it may not be to your advantage. If you are unsure about a specific part of the design, feel free to ask about it. While I am open to ideas it is important to remember that you are paying me to design your site, and I am a professional in the field.

Development

After the design has been approved, I will go ahead and develop the website. This can be done to a content management system just as Joomla! or Wordpress. If you do not wish to incorporate a content management system, I can code websites with straight code as well, but I would highly suggest a content management system as the best long term solution.

Launch

When I have checked and tested the website to be ready for launch, I await final confirmation from you as the client for the green light. When final confirmation has been received I will go ahead and launch the site.

Evaluate

With every website, I install google analytics so that I can track the progress of the website. This helps to evaluate how well the website is working for you by viewing the data and applying it to your website's goals. By continuing evaluation, it allows me to keep making better design decisions based on these statistics if any future or immediate update is needed.
